Having lived in China, the U.S., Europe, and Bangladesh, I was upset to see how foreign Media portrayed China's revival as an evil retaliation to the west, and how the Chinese propaganda has become increasingly defensive and suspicious of the world. Such an vicious circle of mutual distrust must end NOW. It is true that the Chinese government is not likely to go for a real democracy in any time soon, and the internet censorship along with media control are not likely to be eased in the short term, but they are all China's domestic issues. Besides, in many cases of international disputes (esp. regarding territories), China was always the defensive side. Yet, because of the existing bias against China, people barely pick on the actual offensive side but criticize China. As you argued in blog post, I think China's compliance and contribution to the world should be recognized, and the western world really needs to learn about China, its history and its culture to understand what is going on in that country.Shuangyue Cynthia Wuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07376156057446771886noreply@blogger.com
